Shetland Hap Shaw
Søndag 09:00 – 12:00

Karie Westerman

Køb workshop

(workshop in english)

Shetland lace sounds daunting, but this workshop will teach you how to know a typical hap shawl.

Karie Westermann will talk about the Shetland heritage and dark history behind the shawls, as we work on a mini version ourselves.

Together we will look at picking up stitches, reading and understanding complex lace charts, and how to knit an applied edge.

Finally, we discuss how to apply our new-found knowledge to other lace shawls and other lace traditions.
You will also get the chance to look at some stunning samples.
